Nepal U19 beat Afghanistan U19 in a thriller

Nepal entered the Super 6 stage of the competition with this win. Earlier, Aakash Chand registered a five-wicket haul as Nepal bundled out Afghanistan for 145 in the Group D match of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup. Opting to bat first, Afghanistan kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Allah Ghazanfar was the top-scorer for Afghanistan as he scored 37 runs. Skipper Naseer Khan Maroofkhil also scored 31 for Afghanistan.
Nepal’s reply started almost as shakily, with Khalil Ahmed and Faridoon Dawoodzai reducing them to 24 for 3. But a dominant Khanal and a sedate Aakash Tripathi appeared to take the game away from Afghanistan with a 49-run stand, the best of the innings.
